Hudsonville HapKiDo & TaeKwonDo

A lex Alejos was born September 3, 1978 in Grand Rapids, Micigan where he stayed until the age of 8. His parents moved to the Kentwood area where he graduated from East Kentwood High School. At the age of 8 years old Alex took a great interest in the martial arts and began studying.
    At the age of 11 he found his first passion which was Tae Kwon Do. Quickly he attained techniques with precision and accuracy through the determination, discipline, and motivation within himself and of his instructor Master Juan C. Rangel. Master Rangel saw that Tae Kwon Do did not have enough techniques to teach Alex and he didn't want Alex to lose interest so he recommended that Alex train in the art of Hap Ki Do. Alex began his Hap Ki Do training at the age of 14.
    Through the intense training that Alex pursued under Master Rangel, Alex had rapidly become a State, National, and International champion in Tae Kwon Do and open Karate tournaments. In 1996 Alex tested for his 1st degree Black Belt under Master Rangel. For the last 12 years he has taught under Master Rangel. Master Rangel told Alex it was time to open his own school and teach on his own!
    With his wife Jennifer, and children, Justin, age 9, Bryanna, age 5 and Sergio, age 4, and also with his great friend John W. Haley, Hudsonville Hap Ki Do has begun! We look forward to bringing the arts of Hap Ki Do and Tae Kwon Do to the Hudsonville area and making new friends around the area as a full time martial arts school.

Since the age of 11 Alex has been competing primarily in karate and Tae Kwon Do style tournaments.
